Why overhaul matters
Even the most robust equipment needs maintenance. Whether you operate in harsh engine environments or run long voyages with minimal intervention, regular overhauls are key to sustaining lubrication performance, engine protection and long-term operational efficiency.
HJ Lubricators offers dedicated overhaul services for both Lubricators and HJ SIP valves, designed to minimise unplanned downtime, reduce lifetime cost and improve return on investment.
Lubricator Overhaul
Service at regular intervals – onboard or exchange
Our Lubricators are built to the highest standards, but like all mechanical components, they benefit from periodic servicing. We offer a structured lubricator overhaul programme based on planned intervals, which can be executed in two ways:
- Exchange basis – We send you a fully overhauled unit and you return the used one
- Onboard service – Our experienced engineers attend the vessel to complete the overhaul
This flexibility ensures minimal disruption to your operations while keeping your lubrication system in peak condition.
HJ SIP Valve Overhaul
Preventive overhaul every 12–15,000 hours (approx. 2 years)
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of HJ SIP valves, we offer a structured five-year overhaul programme. It includes full maintenance cycles at fixed intervals and predictable budgeting via a retainer-based service agreement.
How it works:
- New HJ SIP valves are supplied to the vessel
- Crew replaces old valves with new ones
- Used valves are returned to HJL for overhaul
- After servicing, the overhauled valves are shipped back for the next exchange
